way of recording telephone conversations to your PCs hard disk
or server. The Call
Recorder is ideal for:
Call
Recorder allows you to store the recorded messages as
compressed files which can be stored for later retrieval,
play-back or e-mailing. You can now download the Call Recorder
software from www.intelligentassistant.com
With this
Call Recorder software, greetings can be played to the
called party with easy auto
triggering from the record start or hotkey activation.
Call Recorder can also be used to record and
listen to: dictation, verbal tasks lists, voice mails, etc.
Recordings are played back
via the sound card in the host PC using standard windows
recording and playback
applications. Call
Recorder can record
only one input at a time, but the system can scale upwards to
record multiple channels when you upgrade to the Recording
Intelligent Assistant.

Do I
need specific hardware for call recording?
Once you have downloaded
the Call Recorder software, you can either hold a microphone
attached to your PC over your telephone's speakerphone to
record, or get the Recording Adapter (included in the Call
Recorder price of AU$300). This is a piece of hardware that
plugs in between your handset (or headset) and your telephone
unit, with a lead into the recording jack of your PC.
The Telephone Recording Adapter is suitable
for telephones with a modular
handset cord. While the wiring of handset cords can vary,
the Recording Adapter has been designed to work with the
majority of handset wiring types.
The
Recording Adapter unit with the Call Recorder software
complies with Australian Communications Authority (ACA)
requirements for Telecommunications and EMC. WARNING! There
is Commonwealth and State legislation relating to the
recording of, and listening to, communications over the
Telecommunications Network. Compliance with ACA standards
should not be taken to mean that any subsequent use of this
equipment complies with other relevant legislation.
