Time Execution:

1. Implement a Schedule change control system that defines procedures by which the project schedule may be changed.  It includes the administration, tracking and approvals necessary for authorising changes to the schedule
2. Manage the project schedule by recording actuals against the baseline and record variances throughout the implementation phase.

• Set a measure
• Record progress
• Compare target dates with actual/forecast start and finish dates
• Calculate the variance
• Take remedial action

3. Use project management tools such as software, gantt charts and control charts for communicating project schedule status
