Previously known as Waratah West Netball Club, Newcastle, our uniform consisted of a white polo top and a plain green netball skirt. In 1987, we gained the sponsorship of our local club, Waratah Leagues Football Club. We changed our club name, and our colours were changed to maroon and gold, to coincide with the football club. We have had various uniforms since that time, however we now play in one of two uniforms - a two piece or a one piece. The one piece lycra dress was introduced in 2007 season by our two A grade senior teams, the Tahs and the Dynamites. In 2007 we also conducted fundraising for new jackets - a look that has been highly praised.
On behalf of the Waratah Leagues Netball Club, I would like to thankyou for taking the time to visit our website. We welcome any feedback you may have, and hope you find the information useful. Please pass on our web address to your family and friends, and remember - netball is a fun game for all to play!

Goldies Coach - David Cadogan
David was thrust into netball life last year when he had to shuttle our President around due to an injury last season. He started to "umpire" from the sidelines and decided to do it for real. He has been umpiring junior games, and is set to move up to higher graded teams. This year he has also taken on coaching the Under 12's Goldies, while increasing his umpiring skills to assist in better coaching his team. "If I expect the girls to umpire, I should be able to do it too" is his philosophy. It seems to be paying off, most of the team want to umpire every week! David is also currently the club's Social Convenor, and married to our President |
