Light For the Journey

As I stumble here uncertain,
Trying to decide which way to go,
Looking at the final curtain,
Only to find the light of day.

"Grant me light for the journey,
A lamp to guide my feet,
A road sign for direction,
The bread of life to eat."

I lift my eyes in sorrow,
I lift my hands in defeat,
These plans I make for tomorrow,
Just aren't mind to meet.

His voice so tender and gentle,
Calls through my pouring rain,
"Let Go! Let Go!" So very simple,
"Let go!" and I will catch you again.
