KARABINER is currently in the planning stages - it is hoped that with the required sponsorship and assistance to have the program up-and-running soon...

KARABINER has been donated a long-term leasehold on a beautiful 100 acre bushland property at Wallan, in rural Victoria.

The property is rich in native wildlife and flora, and was donated to KARABINER in 1995. It is now set aside as a camp for the KARABINER program.

To simplify the program’s establishment, the first Australian camp will cater only for boys. However, following camps will be designed for girls also.

What we now need is the support and resources to build the required camp infrastructure, including a dining hall, amenities block, office and staff housing, and an unpaved access road into the camp.

Eventually we would like to build other facilities that will enhance the camp, including a dam for fishing.

To begin construction, KARABINER needs your help. We seeking in-kind support (donation of goods, services, ambassadorship and time), as well as financial donations and sponsorship to enable us to begin work on the camp.

Currently we have a need for the following assistance to get Karabiner up-and-running:

* Office space
* Filing cabinet and office equipment
* Donations of building materials and land for campsites
* Volunteer Administration Officers
* Committee Members
* Sponsors
* Auditor

KARABINER – A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE NAME

A KARABINER is a device synonymous with outdoor activity (it’s a special clip used in climbing).
It’s an item that provides support and safety in the face of challenging situations.

KARABINER is the operating name for Mission Possible Australia, an organisation formed in 1989 for the sole purpose of establishing a therapeutic camping program for young people in Australia.
