Jill Chism has an art career spanning 35
years. Originally a painter and sculptor, she focused on Installation
Art after completing her Master of Creative Arts degree in 1992.
Recently, since 2001, Jill has completed several public art commissions,
and has received a Royal Australian Institute of Architecture Award
for her public artwork at Mackay Artspace. She exhibits regularly
within Queensland, and has been selected for many curated exhibitions
in regional and contemporary galleries. Jill works with diverse
materials, within a number of artforms.
Jill also has a long career as an art educator and currently
manages and teaches within the Visual Art department at Tropical
North Queensland TAFE
