Dearest Doe & Mue,
Many thanks for your letter of 1st July and airgraph of 14/8/42, Doe, both arriving a few days ago. Was very pleased to hear from you again and to know that all is well over your way.
Things are well out here and going along smoothly though rather quietly as you have heard from various news bulletins.
Have not seen Earl for few weeks but he sent message to me few days ago that all was well. I'm very fit and well myself and keeping my weight up to around the 12 1/2 stone mark.
We are having grand weather here at present but gradually becoming cooler at nights - excellent for sleeping which is just about what the nights are made for in this portion of the globe - but that is better than nothing. I'm off to down to beach in a few minutes for daily dip in the Med. Cheerio and tons of love to all.
Cecil xx
