Darlings, My it takes a time even for airgraphs to come but don't take any notice of my impatience - it just seems awful waiting for news of Earle bless him - what a foul time he's having & I do hope he is slowly progressing & soon gets home to be looked after by you all - I shall feel much better when I hear he's recovering, I know it will take ages, but gosh, I know just how you all must be feeling & I seem so far away & useless to you - AND I hate being here when I know what there is to be done over there - but darlings, I have a feeling that - at long last - this will be my last winter in England & I cling to this very pleasant thought & it helps - lots, darlings. I am up at Holbeck right now - but am going back to town tomorrow - I'm hoping to come back up & spend Xmas here - I just feel it will break up the long dreary work of winter if I do & last Xmas wasn't so good - it was full of dear old Rawd Middleton & we never felt like Xmas. I only hope this war is over before next Xmas & we'll all be somewhere near each other - if not together - Darlings do tell me about Earle what fever has he had, his wound etc & good old Nellie ... ... ... Ces is better, bless them both - glad about ... ... ... I've not heard from Harry for 5 weeks - Much ... ... ... ..ears - Bless you,

Doe
