KriYative Art Studio featuring
the work of Nili Duvdevani
Working both as a visual
artist and poet, Nili has been living in Perth since 1986 and graduated from
Edith Cowan University with a BA Visual Art in 1992. Since graduating Nili has
exhibited regularly, worked in the graphic design industry as well as
traveling to Israel, South Africa and India.
KriYative Art Studio was a short term experimental project that ran for
several months in a shop front in Fremantle (2002-2003).
It was a joint venture with fellow artist Sagi to create a space of free
expression where the public were invited to view the works in progress. The
intention was for visitors to feel welcome to speak to the artists in a less
formal situation than the typical “Gallery” format.
Most importantly we wished the pieces exhibited at KriYative to bring
inspiration and happiness both to the artists and to whomever may come into
contact with them.
Nili continues to work with
this intention inspired by recent ventures in the USA (2003), India (2003,
2004, 2005) as well as some months spent in Dunsborough W.A. (2005). Nili now
resides back in Perth.
