Hi!
I recently came across the following poem which I really resonate with:
LET GO
To let go does not mean I stop caring,
it means I cannot live someone else's life for them.To let go is not to cut myself off,
it is the realisation that I must not control another. To let go is not to do it all oneself,
but to share the load and take time out.To let go is not to be in the middle trying to dictate all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies. To let go is not to be protective,
it is to permit an other to face reality. To let go is not to regret the past,
but to live in today and grow for the future. To let go is not to fix it,
but to be supportive. To let go is to fear less
and to love more.It says it all, doesn’t it! It means I can let go of the roles my mind identifies with, like the rescuer and the control freak in my case! Because the 3D mind needs to identify with roles, in order to function.
When we let go, we experience a shift when the Witness emerges from the background of our awareness to the forefront. And what this Witness observes is Presence, it observes Harmony which already IS.
Knowing that I can’t ‘fix’ or change things any longer, has changed my perspective and direction. What to do instead? For me now, it is to focus on developing this God consciousness, by seeking the Kingdom of God first, by going to God in meditation to experience God only. Then leave the outcome to God, knowing that whatever the outcome is, it has to be consonant with God.
Joel wrote: “Let the mind be an instrument of awareness and instead of trying to break your head against an apparently insoluble problem, worrying about what the next step should be or what you are to do tomorrow or the next day, form the habit of listening with your mind, using it as an instrument of awareness. Let God fill your mind. Be a witness to the Spirit motivating, and permeating both the mind and body. Be a witness to it. Make of the mind and of the body instruments of God.”
Till next time!
