About Me

Personal Interests:

I have a few different interests including digital multimedia art and design, reading, skateboarding, music, people and philosophy, surfing, and business. Surfing was one of my main hobbies for around 15 years. I enjoyed traveling to new places and surf spots, being with mates and having a great time, and the adrenaline rush you get when the surf is really perfect (and you are getting so much speed out of your board and the waves that are pushing it). You learn much more than just how to surf a wave and experience a direct connection to the natural environment. Surfing teaches you how to anticipate events very quickly as they unfold before your eyes (and react accordingly in a split second); how to push your skills to the edge of what is possible as you try to reach new levels of performance; and how to enjoy the simple but infinitely profound act of being alive. These are the kinds of lessons that you can take and use in many other areas of life to achieve success.

When I choose to do something that interests me I am always keen to progress and develop my level of skill. Art and design will always play a big part in my life from now on and my academic goals will revolve around digital art disciplines and multimedia design software. My main areas of interest in digital design are:

These are also the areas of digital media design and creation that I feel I have the most potential in.

Professional Interests:

I am currently upgrading my skill set by learning more about web site design and coding via online articles and tutorials. I have also been researching web sites and visually examining them to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of functional, aesthetic design.

Optimizing a web site for the search engines so that it grows in popularity while delivering an enjoyable experience for the visitor is a long term project. There are numerous web sites on the internet which have valuable tips on Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing. Learning from these industry front-runners has enabled the Digital Cells web site to climb the search engine rankings steadily since April in 2006.
