Welcome to "Digital Cells" my online Digital Multimedia Portfolio. This site is dedicated to digital multimedia art and design. Why is it called Digital Cells? This site will grow and change in a way that mimics a biological cell - new features and content will regularly be added to expand the diversity of the work displayed. Once it outgrows the space it currently resides in it will seek a new home - its own domain name, when I know that the timing is exactly right.
There are more pages on this site than the navigation suggests - about 75 pages last time I counted them. Each of the main categories of digital art and design (and the Skateboarding Section) has extra pages that you can view by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.
About The Digital Cells Web Site:
This is only a very small part of all the multimedia work that I have created and most of it was made while completing the Certificate IV in Multimedia at TAFE in 2005. There are five main types of multimedia art included on this mini-site: digital photography, visual design, 2D animation, digital sound effects and digital video.
But what is digital multimedia art anyway? Traditional artists creating work in various mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpture consider their output to be mixed media. Computers and software, digital cameras, video cameras, and digital sound recording and editing software have expanded the possibilities of what can be created in the name of art. I am interested in all
of these technologies and the many possibilities that they allow when creating art. I have always loved knowledge and learning, plus it's all fun to make. Every type of digital multimedia output involves different ways of generating both the art concept and the finished work.
Career
Objectives:
I would like to secure a career in web site design, interactive interface design, animation, digital illustration, or photo based work. I am really keen to make a lot more digital art and to continue to develop more skills in all of the areas related to digital multimedia design.
Please re-visit this site every couple of weeks to view new digital images, designs, and features. For more information about the latest updates to the site please visit the News section of the site.
