Digital Photos From The Past 12 Months:

Assorted Digital Photos From The Past 12 Months:

The digital photographs on the next two web pages were captured as far back as June in 2006.

I have decided to include a series of sunset photographs that looked way too dark and unusable which were shot at Lake Macquarie last June. When I first downloaded them from my camera to my computer, I realize that I had started the photo shoot way too close to dusk. But when I looked at them this time, I could see that you rarely see the sky in such heavy, thick colours – either in a photographic image or with the naked eye. So I decided to upload them because there are some very strong colours and tones in these images and the contrast varies greatly between certain areas of the image. Some of the photographs that had me crying out “put it in the recycle bin, it’s really no good” managed to justify their right to survive.

I almost felt like part of the camera crew for David Attenborough when I noticed the birds by the waters edge in the image called "Pre Flight". I knew there was a decent nature photo opportunity there and wanted that shot. They flew off pretty quickly, but I managed to grab one shot of them that captures some birds just “getting on with it”.
