Miller Flip Invert
Tony Hawk at his demo in 1997. He spent most of the demo skating the street
course, but he did spend a minute or two on this sub-standard ramp. It was
built incorrectly and as a result it's almost totally un-skateable. When you are
a
Professional Skater and you get to skate the best ramps and spots all over
the world you really don't want to ride ramps like this one. He just rode it for
the crowd and the kids - now that's professional!
It's a shame for Newcastle skaters that we do not have a ramp the quality of
the mini ramp at Narara on the NSW Central Coast. I have seen and skated
dozens and dozens of ramps of all shapes and sizes in NSW and Queensland,
but Narara is better than all of them. On every level, it's the most perfect
six foot ramp that I have ever skated. With thousands of skateboarders,
Newcastle deserves a perfect ramp like the Narara mini too! |
