Miguel is the director of Sydney's Solidarity Choir, singing songs of social justice from all over the world. He also directs Ecopella, who perform environmental songs.
He has conducted choir workshops at major Australian festivals including Maleny Festival, Queensland, and the National Folk Festival in Canberra, where he took out the vocal award in 1996.
He has recently completed a double CD project called
'The People Have Songs' - a recording of the session singers of Sydney
which was launched at the 2003 National Folk Festival.
