Hypnotherapy is one of the oldest western medical therapies known to man kind.

It is an evidence-based therapy and it has stood the test of time; it does work.

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation where that very deepest aspect of yourself (the deeper self) is susceptible to suggestion (ideas and concepts).

You will be completely aware of what is going on around you; you will have complete and absolute control.

All that will happen is that the muscles in your body will become very relaxed, and your thinking may speed up a little.

You may find yourself thinking about lots of different things and that is what is meant to happen.

You do not need to focus on what the therapist is saying or put any effort into being hypnotized.

The least amount of effort you put into it, the easier it is for the therapist.

The therapist knows when you are hypnotized.

In this deep state of relaxation your deeper self is paying attention (complete attention).

The deeper self is now open to change.

What unfolds is a dialogue between therapist and the deeper self.

During this dialogue, ideas and concepts are presented and the deeper self is able to integrate this information.

This integration facilitates change within the neurological structure of the brain.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool utilized by the psychologist to help you make those changes that you have chosen for yourself.

It can be likened to a journey; a journey of self discovery moving towards change, well-being and eventually, contentment and happiness.

Symbolism plays an important role, as does guided imagery, internal dialogue and spiritual guidance.

Psychological fundamentals such as relaxation, safety and security are critical, as is understanding, knowledge acquisition and self awareness.

Hypnotherapy is a highly effective, pleasant, rewarding and safe experience.

We still use the traditional swinging gold fob watch and chain method for trance induction.

During the treatment you will not be required to relive any traumatic event or experience.
