Our civilisation
can put men on the moon and take geological
samples from Mars. We can split the atom, we can circumnavigate
the earth in hours. We can repair mens broken bodies,
we can cure or prevent most diseases. Our scientists
can delve into the most distant corners of the universe.
We can do most anything.
Why can't we see the despair of our fellow human beings?
Poverty
takes many forms, for it cripples the mind as well as
the spirit. Some of those forms of poverty are listed
here; there may be more that I've never thought about.
