The tree is an ancient symbol of life, abundance and self-renewal and there are many cultural variations of the tree of life. With its roots in the earth and branches reaching to the heavens it is symbolic of our yearning towards something greater than ourselves. Traditionally it is called the "axis mundi" and marks the mystic centre of the universe. Trees are central to many myths, being symbols of power, integrity and permanence. This Tree of Life is blooming abundantly with wildflowers while birds sing joyfully. The owl, symbol of wisdom, watches over creation.
