Amat -na-Tua lies between Greenyards and Glencalvie, two
major areas where clearances did occur. Most of the families
in this area appear not to have been removed, although two
families did have girls involved and there is documentary

Amat census ( 1851-26). They may
have moved here after the glencalvie clearance in
1845, or even moved
before the clearance
