1 - the details on page XYZ are wrong. Ok there are
4500 pages here so there's bound to be a few mistakes
Also I'm trying to piece together a very big jigsaw, and
not all the bits are there. if you have any info which helps
please let me know. I will be eternally grateful and you
will receive a great reward here |

2- why did you do this I have no idea my
grandfather showed me a piece of paper in 1980 with his 12
brothers and sisters names and dates of birth ( I still have
it) . I came across the OPRs in an Edinburgh Library in 1991
- I started searching again in 2000 and gathered a vast
amount of information on the parish of Kincardine and
decided to put some of it online |

3 - will you send me the entire 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871,
1881, 1891,1901 census and all your birth death and marriage
records eh no |

4 - do you have details of a Ross family in Kincardine
parish Yes - I have details of 1310 of them - can you
be more specific - see number 5 |

5 - do you have details of a John Ross born about 18XX
with 3 kids and his wife was called YYY. Yes - here's
a bit of the census with them listed and their marriage date
etc. |

7 - I think person A is my great great grandparent that
moved to Australia in 1850 two answers here.
a) well they were listed on the census in 1841 and again
in 1851 and died in 1860 and are buried in Kincardine
Cemetery, so maybe not
or
b) they were listed on the census in 1841 and had another
child in 1844 and there were clearances in 1845 and they
were not listed in 1851 and this other website has details
of them living in Australia |

another website. oops sorry - I always try and list my
sources and link back to the original site and give credit.

9. Why is Mckenzie not Mackenzie and why is McKay not
Mackay Well I'm a Macleod, with a big M small a, small
c (and small L) and my database originally had lots of
MACLEOD names, so to quickly list Macleod's, I just typed
mac and it went to the macleods. As more names were added I
decided to make all Mc's and Mac's Mc's except Macleod. The
overriding factor in making this important decision was to
save wear and tear on the A key on my keyboard. |
