Scotsman 18th June 1845, the number of tenants warned out this year, at the instance of proprietors in Easter Ross is 51 (253 in Wester ross) and of subtenants at the instance of tacksmen and of occupants of glebe lands is 10. this is exclusive of Lewis and of Glencalvie, the people of which ( about ninety in number, or eighteen heads of families) were warned out last year, though they quit their possessions only this season
24th May 1845 when 18 families – some 90 people – were cleared from their homes in Glencalvie
