Mickey has been an active industry member for a long stint. Mickey started djing as a mobile dj in the early 90's, while promoting for various clubs and art directing events in the dance scene's heyday in Melbourne. He then progressed to proper djing at large island parties in Thailand having spent nearly eight years on Koh Tao, creating and running the most creative and underground alternative to the full moon party- Venus Park. Mickey's reputation on Koh Tao earned him the opportunity to dj at several clubs in Bangkok aswell as guest spots at the full moon party in Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
Now back in Melbourne Mickey has had no problems picking up numerous impressive residencies in clubs (such as the Lounge, the Hyde, Area 61, Retreat, Champagne Lounge etc) and gigs at various underground parties and festivals including the Earthcore Carnival.
Mickey's genres spread across the whole board, his main focus is to play the right tunes to the crowd, a vital attribute to any successful dj, which he achieves superbly, often being able to blend quite a variety of styles into the one set. Never missing a beat and not afraid to blend requests in, his sets are guaranteed to keep the punters shaking all night long. 2005 saw Mickey placing as state finalist in the highly reputable Future Dj competition, showcasing his diverse skills as a dj.
Not limiting himself to just club djing Mickey has composed and played live for theatre shows, fashion parades and recently biting his teeth into advertising, track selecting for promotional dvd's and tv ads.
The mastermind behind Funk Fidelity, Mickey's years of experience as a dj, club owner, promoter, graphic designer, art director and artist make him extremely qualified to co-ordinate all kinds of parties and events.
