B's First Poem

Back

B don't sing and B don't dance
But I'll shove a gun down your pants
And pull the trigger
That'll teach ya
Motherfucker.

Down in Melbourne, did as I pleased
Brought up here by Scratches-at-Fleas
Now I got a pack
S'posed to watch my back
We'll see.

Ahroun as Alpha, Warragal is
Seems real tough for an Abo chick
Got plenty of Rage
But she ain't no sage
Y' get my drift.

She's got a cub, Renee Drank-a-Pint
Not too tough and scared of rites
Some 'dox she'll make
Guess she'll hardly rate
A mention

And Adam of the bongo van
Screams-at-Spirits thinks he's the man
But he won't do rites
And he's scared of the night
Some Theurge.

Child of Gaia from overseas
Does whatever he can to please
Ain't done nothing neat
To earn his keep
So why bother.

Lauren is rich and Lauren is spoiled
Got whatever she wants in the world
Scratched Mariko's back
And turned on her pack
Now she's fucked.

That's the pack as I have told
Six of us to save the world
If we're the hope
Don't even mope
Just give up now.

When I was younger and just first changed
I had a mentor - Mary was her name
Black Fury Galliard, she taught me how
To be a Garou, and all I know now

She said that when you're part of a pack
You all grow together and learn what you lack
She said that you never need to feel fear
When one of your packmates are sure to be near

Now I've learned that what she said was right
I'll stand up for my pack with all of my might
Say something against us, I'll defend with full force
Followed real quick by my packmates, of course!

Warragal, Alpha and leader supreme
"Protect the cub!" she yells with a gleam
In her eyes, of fury that any would dare
Attack the pack while she was there.

And Adam, our wayward Theurge, it seems
Has finally learned what it means to achieve
He talked to the Bunyip, and then proved his might
By leading the Sept in a summoning rite.

Renee, our sweet little Philodox cub
Is part of the pack that we can't help but love
She actually managed to break up a fight
And then she willing joined in the rite.

As for Mark, no one can pretend
Our Child of Gaia American friend
Has nothing at all to offer the pack
He has patience and loyalty most of us lack.

Thus from my story, it's plain to be seen
A pack of losers can grow to be mean
Alone we sucked, but together we grew
And now, it seems, my story is through

But wait! The count, it seems, is just four
Of those who changed, aren't there two more?
Well, proof of the change in B that you seek
Can simply be seen in the fact that I speak.

As for Lauren, I hold out this hope
That soon we'll all be united in growth
Lauren, I ask you, come join your pack
And forget any differences that we have had.

Wyrm-Protector you surely are not
Misguided, perhaps, bt loyal to fault
With conviction and courage, you stand alone
One of the bravest Garou I have known.

One thing can be seen from my tale without doubt
And that's: when in a pack, everyone counts
Since we've been together, we've each achieved higher
Than ever before in our service to Gaia.
