I create my own designs for my tapestries. My ideas come from experiences, feelings, impressions and above all, from nature, - learning and exploring the designs of the great creator. I pay a lot of attention to detail, colors, shades and shapes. I like to defy the two dimensional nature of tapestry and create a feeling of space and movement, apart from playing with textures and yarns which give different effects, depending on the type of light in the room. |

When commissioned for a tapestry I can design for a specific area or room, or take a photo or picture as a design base (copyright permitting), or use certain colors which are preferred. When a heraldic design is required or a company logo, I will faithfully copy every detail. Click here to see a heraldic tapestry! With any other design I insist on my freedom as an artist to interpret the subject or theme.
I can make the design in a scaled down size, hand painted or computer printed for approval, at an extra fee. |
